SUMMARY:Big River Steampunk Festival
DESCRIPTION:Big River Steampunk Festival is a free 4-day event during Labor Day weekend that attracts over 20\,000 people.\n\nThis year\, the festival will be celebrating its 12th Annual Big River Steampunk Festival.\n\nWe are trying to grow the Wasteland every year. This year we are having a Rave in the Streets on Friday Night August 29th.\n\nWe have an event called Wasteland Olympics during the daytime that weekend\, Foam Sword fighting events (Thunderfoam)\, plus Costume Contests Saturday and Sunday. \nSkills are an important part of survival in the Steam Wastes!! Do you have what it takes to prosper? \nCome try your hand at Wasteland Olympics\, a challenging “Triathlon” style test of common life saving Wasteland skills…. \nWhich skills you ask? Well\, to bad\, if you wanna know show up and find out…. What fun would it be if I told you? 🤪 \nThere will be three stages to complete and the winner will have the fastest time. And trophies will be given!! \nCome give it a try and find out if you can handle what the Steam Wastes dish out!!\nSaturday Sep 5th at 2pm and Sunday Sep 6th at 1pm in the Steam Wastes☠️🔥 \n\nThe Block Party will be on Friday night again! We will have the lovely Miss Casey Ablaze\, to open the party!🔥This year\, the block party will be held in the pavilion on Hill St next to the levee. \nFriday Night Block Party in the Steam Wastes: Special Guest Casey Ablaze \nThis will be the 4th Steam Wastes Block Party\, and i hope it will be the biggest so far!! Let’s line the streets with Heathens!! \nSaturday Night Atomic Flow Party with Casey Ablaze\, BZRK\, Haz and Mystic \nThis event is currently BYOB\, but I hope to work something out with one of the beverage vendors that attend the festival. \nWhile as always the Steam Wastes are open to all ages\, I do want to state that there will be LOUD MUSIC\, FLASHING LIGHTS\, SMOG MACHINES\, ADULT BEVERAGES\, and LOTS OF STRANGE PEOPLE😉. It may be best for the Mom’s and Dad’s to come out and have a night out “thumpin” without the “dumplins”….. \n\nThe Festival itself has Steampunk\, Wasteland\, and Renaissance sections all connected\, making the festival stretch through the entire historic downtown. \nThe webpage is www.bigriversteampunkfestival.com \, there people can look up all of the events throughout the whole festival. \nBands\, workshops\, games\, vendors\, as well as a costume contest!
